Historic Gardens and Architecture

Welcome to Timothy Mowl's site on historic landscapes and gardens and architectural history. Tim is currently working on three projects - a continuation of his Historic Gardens of England series, the promotion of a book of urban architectural walks in his home city of Bristol and a study of the gardens of the Regency period.  His latest article, due to be published in the Winter issue of Garden History, concerns the true architectural inspiration behind the celebrated Palladian Bridge at Wilton House
