Tim’s recent lectures have included visual presentations on Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown to coincide with the CB300 celebrations, a lavishly illustrated overview of gardens in the Regency focusing on Jane Austen and Humphry Repton, a personal narrative of the gardens and landscapes he visited in preparing the last Historic Gardens of England volume on Hampshire and a Draughtsman’s Contract-style pursuit of the mysterious Thomas Robins through his rare and exotic eighteenth-century watercolours.
Tim's next lecture, to be delivered at the American Musuem in Bath, concerns the Ornamenatl Gardens of the period 1820-1850.
